THUMOS: is it in you?
The Greek word "thumos" is the word I like to translate as zeal. It is used often by Socrates in the platonic dialogues when he says we should be zealous to know truth, and other things. This is a parody of a Gatorade add, titled Thumos: is it in you? A phrase that my Greek teacher of last year used to reiterate while we translated the Meno.

Why don't they have faces?
Sometimes people ask me why my people do not have faces. I never have a good answer. But this guy seems to be pretty popular. So what's the problem?
